Game Updates

There is an option in the Prey menus to check for updates to the program. This is accessed by the "Updates" option in the main menu of the game. When you click this, the game will contact the Human Head servers and check to see if there is a newer version of the game available. If there is, you will be prompted to download and install this new version.

If there is not a newer version, you will be told you are up to date.

Technical Info on Update Feature

When clicked, the update feature will check the Human Head servers. If you are behind a firewall, you may need to open up some ports for this feature to work properly.

The game contacts the preymaster.humanhead.com server. If you are playing the demo, the port number is 27655 (UDP), and if you are playing the full version, the port number is 27650 (UDP).
